Fred N. Davis, M.D., and Mark L. Gostine, M.D., the principals of ProCare™ Systems Inc. began their practice of Pain Management in 1984 at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan after completing residencies in Anesthesiology at the University of Michigan. As their practice grew, they formed a medical corporation called Michigan Pain Consultants, P.C. which was the first full time pain management practice in Michigan.

As the practice of comprehensive pain management grew, Michigan Pain Consultants, P.C. expanded to begin programs at other hospitals in West Michigan. As Michigan Pain Consultants got larger it was evident that some of the day to day operations were best managed outside of the practice setting. ProCare™ Systems, Inc. was created by Dr. Davis and Dr. Gostine to manage operations such as billing, scheduling, and marketing of the pain management centers so the physicians could focus on the most important part of their job; great patient care. The ProCare™ Network now includes four independent pain management practices with over twenty full time pain management physicians and over ten separate pain center locations.

ProCare™ Systems has developed resources to assist other health care providers implement comprehensive pain management programs in their respective marketplaces.
